An armed gunman was caught on security film walking up to a New York City deli worker and firing a handgun at point blank range on Wednesday afternoon.
Footage shows an employee at Rockaway Express Deli in South Ozone Park, Queens, treating a customer from behind the counter before the gunman walks up to him and shoots him in the face without hesitation, the New York Post reported. Then he came back for more with an AR-15!
This is nuts. How did the guy even survive?
WATCH:
The gunman was dressed in all black and used a mask to cover his face. He was later identified as Donnie Hudson, a 35-year-old living in an apartment above the deli. Authorities arrested Hudson hours after the shooting and found a backpack carrying an AR-15 and three magazines full of ammo, ABC7 reported.
He allegedly got into a dispute with deli workers at 12:30 p.m. and walked back into the deli at 2:30 p.m. to carry out the shooting. Hudson reportedly told detectives deli employees were stealing from his apartment.
The employee seen in the footage received treatment at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center after he was shot in the eye. A second victim checked into the hospital for a wrist injury, possible from a bullet, bullet fragment or shell casing.
Hudson has been charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a machine gun, criminal possession of a loaded firearm, criminal possession of an ammo clip, criminal possession of a large capacity ammo-feeding device and unlawful possession of an ammo-feeding device.
People on Twitter were less than impressed with New York City and its “leadership” that disarms honest citizens while letting criminals – who are routinely let out on the street with no bail – carry all the (illegal) arms they want.
aren't guns ILLEGAL in NYC?

I've never seen somebody pull a reverse Call of Duty maneuver in real life. Glad to see the guy survived.

Thanks for your publication on the travel industry. I’d also like to add that if you are one senior considering traveling, it truly is absolutely important to buy travel insurance for older persons. When traveling, older persons are at high risk of getting a professional medical emergency. Getting the right insurance cover package on your age group can protect your health and provide you with peace of mind.
