Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday slammed Apple for allegedly threatening to remove Twitter from its App store while reportedly harming Chinese protesters by preventing them from using its AirDrop feature ast the direction of the Communist Party.

DeSantis’ comments, made during a press conference in Duval County, came a day after Elon Musk alleged that Apple had “mostly” stopped advertising on Twitter and had threatened to “withhold” the social media platform from the app store.

At the same time as woke Apple CEO Tim Cook apparently wants to punish Twitter for enabling free speech on the platform, he also is helping the Chinese dictators to crush speech during ongoing, vigorous protests over oppressive Covid lockdowns in China.

Apple SHUT DOWN the iPhone’s AirDrop file-sharing feature, which cutoff protesters ability to bypass censorship and spread information about demonstrations.

Clearly Cook did this at the behest of the CCP:

And today DeSantis let Cook have it, slamming Apple as “vassals” of the Chinese tyrants, and threatening potential GOP Congressional action against them, in a brutal statement:

Musk has continued to highlight Apple’s alleged threats, even posting a poll asking users if Apple should “publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers”:

“This is a battle for the future of civilization. If free speech is lost even in America, tyranny is all that lies ahead,” Musk wrote Monday:

DeSantis clearly agrees, and laid down the gauntlet for Tim Cook in no uncertain terms.

For his part, Musk appears supportive of DeSantis’ political prospects as well, despite voting mostly Democrat in the past:

Well said. But “fairness” is not what the left wants from social media. It wants a Twitter that support ONLY the Democrats, and so Musk is now their Public Enemy #1.
