Americans suffering from “hard times” thanks to Joe Biden’s runaway inflation should simply consider eating cheaper food like “Chef Boyardee,” a top Democratic congressman has suggested.
Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, D-N.Y., said in an interview with Halston Media that his family has a history of eating foods like “Chef Boyardee” when high gas prices began to affect their budgets.
Rep. Maloney added “that’s what families have to do” when hard times come around, and suggests that’s what struggling American families should do right now.
Maloney, a multi-millionaire who is in a tough election battle to retain his seat with Republican challenger Mike Lawler, said he believes the US needs to release more of its oil reserves to combat rising gas prices and take other steps to help Americans, which he claims — without evidence — is being done by Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act.”
As the chart below makes clear, Biden hasn’t fought inflation — there WAS no inflation before he came into office….and it immediately skyrocketed after his disastrous restrictions on energy production, which increased the price of transportation, fuel and other goods and services...

Lawler accused Maloney of being “hopelessly out of touch with Hudson Valley families struggling to put food on the table.”
“He may think it’s funny to tell families to live on Chef Boyardee, but in reality it’s tragic. The food and energy inflation Mr. Maloney caused in Washington is leaving families scared, hungry, and cold,” he said.
Said Lawler: “Hudson Valley residents who are struggling to put gas in their tank and food on their table should eat Chef Boyardee! I have a better idea — let’s Fire Sean Maloney and reduce inflation so that New Yorkers can afford to live here and eat what they want.“
The out-of-touch comments are similar to one made by Biden himself last week in which the president said that inflation was no big deal
Maloney claimed, falsely, that the release of 90 million barrels from the strategic petroleum reserve, that’s what’s taken about $1.30 off the price of a gallon of gas,” he said. “That’s a big help. We’ve got to do more to keep that price from going back up and keep it coming down.”
In fact, gas prices were $2.39 when Biden took office, and $3.88 as of this morning — a full 20 cents per gallon higher than since Biden’s “inflation” act was signed.
So a senior member of the Democrat House leadership is telling struggling Americans to buy cheap food because he has no answers to his own party’s disastrous policies.
THAT is the message Democrats are sure to be punished for on Election Day.
